The Chairman and General Manager of Trendi Medical were invited to attend the 2023 Australia-China

From 26 to 27 June 2023, the 2nd Australia-China Technology and Innovation Forum was successfully held at Monash Institute of Science and Technology in Suzhou Industrial Park, and Academician Guan Guoliang, Chairman of Changzhou Trendi Medical Technology Co., Ltd., and Ms. Chen Qiaoling, General Manager of Changzhou Xianqiang Medical Technology Co., Ltd. were invited to attend.

With the theme of "Bridging the Life Science Industry and Academia", this forum focuses on the technological development and industrialization prospects of China and Australia in the fields of cancer and immune diseases, genetic screening, anti-infective drugs, computer biomedicine and regenerative medicine, aiming to promote the "industry-university-research" strategic cooperation between China and Australia in the field of biomedicine, and cooperate with the Yangtze River Delta region to connect with the industrial transformation of Australia's outstanding scientific research achievements.

The forum was attended by Mr Silvio Tiziani, CEO of the Australian Centre for Regenerative Science Commercialization, Professor Li Jian, Academician of the Australian Academy of Sciences, Mr Peter Cai, CEO of the Australia-China Foundation, and Professor Susan Elliott, Provost/Senior Vice-Chancellor of Monash University, Australia.

AM, Mr Nick Henderson, Deputy Commissioner for Greater China, Victorian Government, Australia, Ms. Liu Bing, Deputy Consul General and Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner of the Australian Consulate General in Shanghai, Professor James Whisstock, Associate Dean of Research, School of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, Monash University, Robben Jinbo and CellHeal, Chief Scientists of Yangtze River Delta National Technology Innovation Center/Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute Ms Joy Song, co-founder of Therapeutics, Associate Professor Machael Gantier, head of the nucleic acids and innate immunity research group at the Hudson Medical Institute, Associate Professor Kathryn Lawlor, head of the cell death and inflammation signaling research group at the Hudson Medical Institute, Professor Guan Guoliang, academician of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences, Professor John Forsythe, co-director of the Monash Institute of Medical Engineering, et al. At the forum, scholars and experts delivered forward-looking speeches based on their respective research fields, introducing the most cutting-edge scientific research achievements and leading concepts in the fields of disease screening and diagnosis and treatment, computer biomedicine and regenerative medicine.

On June 26th, Academician Guan Guoliang, Chairman of Changzhou Trendi Medical Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech on "Clinicians Involved in Medical Technology: Experience from Monash Medical Engineering Institute". Guan Guoliang is a clinician and researcher, Professor of Neurology in the Department of Neuroscience, Monash Central Clinical College, and Co-Director of the Monash Institute of Medical Engineering. He leads integrated research teams spanning genomics, human stem cells, animal models, bioengineering, artificial intelligence, biological databases, and clinical trials to facilitate the commercialization of engineered solutions to address unmet clinical needs.

Subsequently, Ms. Chen Qiaoling, General Manager of Changzhou Trendi Medical Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a speech on "How to industrialize scientific research achievements". Taking the establishment and development of Pioneer Medical as a case, she discussed the difference between research and industrialization, the steps of industrialization of research results, and the challenges in the process of industrialization.

Since the beginning of the new century, the cross-integration of science and technology has made great progress in life sciences, and life sciences have gradually become the mainstream of global science. This forum is a friendly exchange between Australia and China on life science topics, and it is also a major event for biomedical academia.
