Patrick Kwan, director of Changzhou Trendi Medical Technology Co., Ltd, expert in neurologist, an academician of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences, a professor in the Department of Neuroscience at Monash University, Head of the Epilepsy Unit at Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, Australia, and director of the Chongqing Key Laboratory of Neurology.

Patrick Kwan has been engaged in epilepsy treatment and research, especially focusing on the clinical pharmacology and pharmacogenomics research of antiepileptic drugs. His research has shaped the modern understanding of the prognosis of epilepsy and laid the foundation for the first global consensus definition of drug-resistant epilepsy published by the International Anti-Epilepsy Alliance (ILAE) task force he chaired in 2010.

As the first author, published an article on the prognosis of epilepsy in the New England Journal of Medicine. It is the most cited clinical research article in epilepsy research since records (more than 4800 citations).
